I Rise!

Yes, ya’ll  I am back!

I want to apologize for my lack of communication, this summer. The world has thrown a lot at me lately. Least of which being the stroke I suffered back in June.  I did manage to send some love and Father’s day well wishes from the wonderful settings of my hospital room at that time. If you’re curious you can feel free to check that post out later.

However stroke not withstanding… The world keeps spinning, fatherhood demdems are never ending, and stroke, rehab or not, the responsibility to maintain my life never ceased. Hence the hiatus from here.

To be completely authentic, this speed bump life threw my way has taken me on an epic journey of self exploration and discovery. I faced a lot of difficulty getting back into my life and all the things I’d invested myself into previously. I am still working through this.

However, my role as a father never ceased and my passion for this project… this idea of building and fostering a community of resources for fathers around the world, has not waned. In fact the opposite can be said. My role as a father was and is one of the biggest motivating factors for my recovery, transformation and rebuilding of self. For what better way can I teach my son, to be a man, than to provide the light and examples in my own life, of “manning” up.

And so, like a Phoenix rising up out of the ashes, to be reborn from the fires of death, of change, of evolution… Here I stand. Open arms to all welcoming you back, as I welcome myself back to the land of the living.
I want to thank all those that reached out and showed love and concern for me. Keep on the lookout for more content to come in the future. Both on the blog and in videos as we start to build momentum and get this ball rolling.  Where it’s okay to be guys, okay to be men, okay to be the everpresent fathers we can be, okay to own that we are the backbone to our world.

So with that in mind, be sure to leaves some likes and some comments. Let me know if any of you have been through similar challenges and how that may have affected you and your children’s lives. How did you manage them? Thi s is the info we all are looking for and need to know, so definitely share and let’s grow together.

Peace and blessings!
